Kanye West has opened up on what it felt like wearing the controversial MAGA lid, and discussing his political views so publicly.

The Gold Digger rapper found himself supporting Donald Trump over the final few years – despite not following politics – leading to a lot of fans expressing their disgust.

And lifting the chapeau on the controversial Make America Smashing Once more cap, the 42-twelvemonth-onetime explained it stirred up feelings about racism in full general.

In a new candid interview, the dad-of-four – who confessed he's not registered to vote – said: 'I'm a black guy with a red [MAGA] hat, tin can you imagine?

'It reminded me of how I felt as a black guy before I was famous, when I would walk in a restaurant and people would look at yous similar yous were going to steal something.'

Ye also revealed his frustrations with fans attempting to 'put him in his place' when information technology comes to politics, assuming who he supports due to the color of his skin.

'"This is your place, Ye, don't talk about apparel,"' he continued to WSJ.

'"This is your place, Ye, you're black, then you're a Democrat."'

Kanye's comments come up after he found himself dorsum in a row with Taylor Swift, over his 2022 vocal, Famous.

While information technology feels their feud is never-ending, new leaked footage of the infamous telephone telephone call they had over a song lyric emerged on social media, drudging the whole thing dorsum up once more.

It centres around the rapper's use of the give-and-take 'b***h' to draw the Y'all Belong With Me singer and whether he asked her permission to use the derogatory term in the rail.

The lyric in question includes: 'For all my Southside n***** that know me best. I feel like me and Taylor might withal have sex/Why? I made that b***h famous.'

Yeezy has kept placidity on the matter, but wife Kim Kardashian was having none of it, putting Taylor on blast in one case more.

'@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an onetime exchange – that at this point in fourth dimension feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing correct at present,' she began a Twitter rant.

'I didn't feel the need to comment a few days ago, and I'k actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now, but considering she continues to speak on it, I feel I'g left without a choice just to respond because she is actually lying.'

Kimmy insisted her only event with Taylor was that she believes the Reputation singer 'lied through her publicist', arguing that 'they clearly spoke'.

Explaining their dispute was about the 'tone of the chat' rather than the song lyrics, she continued: 'At the time when they spoke the vocal had not been fully written yet, but as anybody can meet in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team said she "declined and cautioned him virtually releasing a song with such a stiff misogynistic message."

'I never edited the footage (another lie) – I merely posted a few clips on Snapchat to brand my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn't change the narrative.'

She also said her husband documented his 'musical journey and procedure' with every anthology and notes Taylor did the same with her contempo Netflix documentary Miss Americana.

'Kanye has documented the making of all of his albums for his personal annal, however has never released any of it for public consumption & the call between the ii of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she non lied & forced me to defend him,' she stated.

'This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares. Deplorable to diameter you all with this. I know y'all are all dealing with more serious and of import matters.'

Well, she's non wrong near the 'serious and of import matters'…
